About the role
This full-time Electrical Engineer role is an excellent opportunity to join the dynamic team at SC Active Electrical in Gisborne, Victoria. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing and implementing electrical systems and solutions for our clients in the water industry.
What you'll be doing
* Designing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems and components for commercial and industrial projects
* Conducting site inspections, assessing electrical infrastructure, and identifying areas for improvement or upgrades
* Preparing detailed electrical designs, schematics, and specifications to meet client requirements and relevant standards
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers and electricians, to ensure the successful delivery of projects
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving electrical issues to maintain the reliability and efficiency of systems
* Providing technical guidance and support to our clients.
* Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards
What we're looking for
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
* Proven ability to design and oversee the installation of electrical systems and components
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical principles, regulations, and safety standards
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
* Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering design tools
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
* Experience preferred in SCADA system integration.
