Vista Restaurant at Grammar View Motel is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Vista Restaurant offers a fresh, stylish Modern Australian dining experience, making the most of the surrounding views and showcasing high-quality local produce.
About the Venue
* Open for Dinner Monday to Friday
* Room Service available 7 days (Breakfast & Dinner)
* Modern Australian menu featuring premium MSA steak dishes
* Fully licensed restaurant with an extensive wine list
* Professional waitstaff providing wine recommendations and tasting support
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Modern Australian dishes in line with menu standards
* Manage preparation for à la carte dining and room service (breakfast and dinner)
* Ensure consistent portion control, presentation, and food quality
* Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
* Assist with menu preparation, stock control, and minimising food wastage
* Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver excellent service
Essential Requirements
* Compulsory qualification in Commercial Cookery
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
* Strong knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine and steak cookery
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong time management and attention to detail
Employment Details
* Full-time position
* Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation
