Support Worker
Right at Home provides in-home care and support services to individuals, empowering them to live independently. As a Support Worker, you will be part of a team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and complex medical needs.
The role involves travelling between clients' homes, assisting with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support. Key responsibilities may include:
* Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication administration
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
* Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, and travelling to medical appointments
* Availability required for sleepovers and shift work, as well as weekend shifts
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment, including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids, and other physical aids
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
* Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Australian Federal Police Clearance
* Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
* NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
* Smartphone with internet access
