Job Summary
Join our Customer Fulfillment team as an Area Manager at Amazon's Fulfillment Center in Jandakot, working a night shift pattern of 4 nights on and 3 nights off. As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of associates within the Fulfillment Center Operations, driving efficiency and improving delivery processes to meet customer expectations.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics or related fields to fill this key leadership position. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in managing sizable teams. They will be responsible for maintaining Health and Safety standards, developing performance goals, and collaborating with support teams to achieve business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
2. Maintain Health and Safety standards within your area of responsibility, ensuring a safe and inspiring work culture.
3. Develop and implement performance goals and objectives to meet customer promise expectations, focusing on accuracy and quality.
4. Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to drive business results.
5. Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards, ensuring excellence in all aspects of the job.
6. Analyze work forecasts and determine resource requirements to meet overall building objectives.
Requirements
1. Relevant working experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a manager, with a track record of motivating and building strong relationships with team members.
3. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes and drive improvement through data-driven decision making.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Direct management experience, including employee performance management.
2. Experience with performance metrics and process improvement initiatives.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
4. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification.
