Project Overview
The Youth Holiday Activities Project aims to provide meaningful, interest-based group activities for local high-school–aged young people during the school holiday periods. The project will engage young people in creative and skill-building activities while fostering social connection, wellbeing, and access to support.
About The Role
* Provide structured activities that encourage skill development and creative expression.
* Foster social connections between young people with shared interests.
* Ensure a supportive adult presence allowing for incidental conversations where emerging needs can be identified.
* Provide immediate support where appropriate and facilitate referrals to relevant internal and external services.
* Strengthen community engagement through collaboration with local volunteers and partner organisations.
* Oversee materials purchasing.
* Collect attendance data and participant feedback.
About You
* High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* High level of proven youth program development skills.
* Proven ability to effectively manage own workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Ability to manage conflict, complaints and any difficult situations which may arise.
* Willing and available to work flexible hours as determined by business requirements.
* Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
* Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, a Police Check Certificate and positive notice Blue Card.
* Understanding and experience delivering evidence based practice (desirable).
