As a Senior Substation Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and execution of electrical or mechanical projects for power delivery substations. We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team at our Augusta office in Hallowell, Maine.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining relationships with local clients
* Mentoring less experienced staff in substation project execution
* Performing and overseeing detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable routing and sizing, physical layouts, equipment selection, specifications, proposal development, cost estimates, and scheduling
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university
* Professional Engineering license (PE) or the ability to obtain within one year
* Experience in physical and electrical design of substations from 15kV through 345kV, following IEEE/ANSI standards
* Experience managing a team of five or more on multiple projects
* Proven experience as a project engineer on concurrent projects
* Strong command of English, with excellent written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration
* Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship
