Job Description
The Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a STEM Educator. The primary purpose of this role is to provide timely and targeted services and initiatives to support the academic learning needs of students.
This includes working in partnership with faculties, HiQ, Equity and Student Counselling, and other learning and personal support providers across the University to contribute to the work of the Student Success Group strategic priorities.

Requirements
* Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree in a discipline with a strong relevance to financial maths, statistics and economics academic and learning practice, and pedagogy, with at least four years subsequent relevant work experience.
* Expertise in financial maths, statistics and economics at a university-level.
* Proven experience in promoting and teaching others to develop strategies needed to engage effectively in mathematics and/or science support for learning in physical (face-to-face) and virtual environments.
* Demonstrated understanding of the issues which affect STEM learning, retention and success in higher education as well as a commitment to working from a social justice framework.
