If you've been bouncing between studios, racing the clock (and the traffic), and never quite feeling settled - pause here.
SWAY is offering a home base.
We're opening our Coombabah studio and looking for an experienced Pilates instructor who values good teaching, consistency, and connection over packed rooms and performative workouts.
SWAY Coombabah is grounded in good Pilates - a neighbourhood-led approach that respects what's been done, stays present with our clients, and teaches to where bodies are at.
Stages, not ages.
This is a calm, considered studio. Our clients want to move well, feel supported, and build a practice that fits their life - not chase trends.
This is not your average Pilates role.
What we're looking for
You'll be a great fit if you:
* Hold a current comprehensive Pilates certification (Mat & Reformer essential)
* Certification must be from recognised bodies including Polestar, Romana's Pilates, Stott Pilates, or BASI
* Are confident working across Pilates apparatus, not just choreography
* Have 2+ years teaching experience
* Have a strong working knowledge of anatomy and movement
* Are confident with modifications and contraindications, including injury considerations
* Are present, grounded, and genuinely interested in your clients
* Value consistency, reliability, and clear communication
* Are open to ongoing professional development
* Hold (or are willing to obtain):
o First Aid & CPR
o Blue Card
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights
First Aid & CPR certification must be obtained within 6 months of commencing
Blue Card must be held before starting employment
Availability & teaching rhythm
We're looking for instructors who enjoy teaching in blocks, rather than scattered one-off classes.
* Studio hours
o Monday–Friday: 6:00am – 7:00pm
o Saturday & Sunday: 6:00am – 11:00am
* Ideal availability:
o Mon–Thurs or Wed–Sat
o Occasional holiday or leave cover
What you'll be doing
* Delivering high-quality Reformer and apparatus-based Pilates classes
* Teaching small groups (maximum 8 clients) with attention, clarity, and progression
* Applying anatomy-informed cueing and intelligent exercise selection
* Providing thoughtful, safe modifications for all levels and bodies
* Supporting client progress over time — not just per class
* Maintaining a welcoming, well-presented studio environment
* Working collaboratively within a supportive, professional team
Private sessions
For instructors with strong clinical awareness and confidence across apparatus, there is opportunity to work with 1:1 clients where appropriate.
What's in it for you
* A genuine neighbourhood studio with loyal, respectful clients
* The stability of teaching in one primary location
* Small class sizes - capped at 8, by design
* A calm, well-run studio environment
* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - because we care about the human, not just the instructor
Why SWAY
Life's too short to burn out driving from studio to studio just to piece together a schedule.
SWAY is about planting roots, teaching with intention, and being part of something sustainable - for your clients and your life.
If you're ready to bring your experience into a studio that values skill, care, and longevity, we'd love to hear from you.
