Core Lithium has now reached Final Investment Decision (FID), marking the official restart of the Finniss Lithium Operation and the next phase of growth. As we power back into production, this is an opportunity to be part of recharging a critical operation at the centre of the global battery supply chain.
Our preference is to build a long-term, Darwin-based workforce, offering residential drive-in, drive-out roles that allow you to be home every night.
About the Opportunities
We are seeking applications from Metallurgy Technicians to support our Finniss lithium processing plant operation as we restart and ramp up production.
Reporting to the Site Metallurgist, these roles will work closely with plant operations to monitor performance, support metallurgical control, and ensure product quality is maintained across the circuit.
You will play a critical role in sampling, analysis, and data collection, supporting both day-to-day plant optimisation and longer-term metallurgical performance improvements across our Dense Media Separation (DMS) circuit and associated processing systems.
These are Darwin-based residential roles on a 7:7 day shift roster, offering a drive-in/drive-out arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
* Support metallurgical activities across the plant
* Conduct sampling, testwork, and routine metallurgical analysis
* Monitor plant performance and assist in identifying improvement opportunities
* Maintain accurate records of metallurgical data and reporting
* Assist with laboratory activities, sample preparation, and analysis
* Work closely with operators and metallurgists to optimise recovery and performance
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
About You
You are a hands-on technician with experience in processing plant environments, with a strong focus on metallurgical support, sampling, and analysis.
You will bring:
* Previous experience as a Metallurgical Technician or similar role
* Exposure to DMS or mineral processing circuits (highly regarded)
* Experience in sampling, testwork, and laboratory processes
* Understanding of analytical techniques and data interpretation
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
* Ability to work collaboratively with operations and technical teams
* Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
* Valid Australian driver's licence
About Core Lithium
Core Lithium is an ASX-listed resources company focused on the restart of the Finniss Operation near Darwin in the Northern Territory. With open pit mining at the Grants deposit targeted to recommence in May 2026, feeding the site's existing lithium processing plant, and underground development at BP33 planned later in the year, the operation is entering an important new phase of production.
As part of this restart, Core Lithium is undertaking a significant recruitment campaign to rebuild the operational workforce across mining and processing. We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who are Darwin-based or interested in relocating to the Northern Territory to join the operation on a residential drive-in/drive-out rosters, with relocation assistance available for suitable candidates.
