About the role
In the Tax division at Forvis Mazars, you will provide tax solutions that help clients achieve their objectives. You will advise on a broad spectrum of taxes and work across a variety of clients, from private to large global corporations.
* Provide high‐level tax advice in all areas of taxation (International, Commonwealth and State).
* Plan and structure transactions and investments.
* Research, analyse and interpret tax legislation to give practical written advice to assist business decision makers.
* Liaise and negotiate with the ATO and revenue authorities.
* Take on some taxation compliance responsibilities including return and BAS preparation.
* Report to the Tax Partners in a small team environment.
* Develop direct advisory responsibility to clients, other Mazars Partners and the Mazars international network.
About you
* Ideally 4–7 or more years experience in Tax Advisory within an Australian accounting firm.
* Preference for a Master of Laws or Tax.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
* Willingness to learn in specialist areas such as Transfer Pricing, GST and state taxes.
