We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park with 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.Our Cardiac, Maternity, Rehab and Oncology services also provide exceptional specialty care for individuals and their families/carers across the Newcastle region and beyond.As a Registered Nurse – ICU, Your Responsibilities Will IncludeSupport the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient careDemonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processesFoster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and studentsAct as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practicesCollaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuumMaintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomesEssential CriteriaCurrent Registration with AHPRA & Working rights in Australia5+ years experience in an acute surgical or cardiac ward settingCommitment to Quality Patient CareCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision making and problem solving skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsWorks well independently and within a teamPost Graduate Certificate in ICU, HDU, or CCU (or working towards) is desirableDesirable3+ years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute ICU, or HDU settingWhy Healthscope?RoleWhen you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
