Financial Accountant Role
About the Position:
Our organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, analyzing data, and providing insightful recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with month-end closure, including journal posting and reconciliation.
* Prepare financial statements for Board and Executive Committee reporting, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
* Analyze data to identify trends and potential issues, and respond to queries accordingly.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial information.
* Prepare corporate tax, BAS, and FBT calculations and returns.
* Update the daily cash flow report and cash flow forecasting.
* Assist in budgeting, group insurance renewals, and group audits.
* Undertake other ad-hoc projects as required.

About You:
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in financial accounting.
* CPA or CA qualifications (or in the process of completing).
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
* Ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
* Sound understanding of accounting principles and Debits and Credits relating to day-to-day business transactions.
* Experience working with large ERP systems and system improvement projects.
