OverviewThis is a casual position with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield (PAE).

This position is part of the Community Safety Team and is responsible for improving community wellbeing and safety through education and enforcement, including regulatory obligations related to dog and cat ownership, and road and public space safety through proactive patrols and responding to requests.ResponsibilitiesUndertake investigations, with support, as an Authorised Officer including evidence gathering and enforcement action.Provide advice to the public on community safety matters.Help keep the community safe by ensuring dogs are effectively contained and controlled to minimise wandering and dog attacks.Proactively monitor Council roads, open spaces and beaches for compliance with Acts, Regulations and procedures.Help the community feel safe by monitoring parking compliance and ensuring footpaths and streets are clear and accessible.Qualifications and experienceCurrent Australian Driver's Licence.Ability to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours, and flexibility to work across Council areas as required.National Police Check, or willingness to undertake.Customer focus and a passion for delivering great outcomes for the community.Experience in a regulatory role or similar.Experience in conflict management, negotiation and mediation.Employment detailsThis is a Level 3 position with a current casual rate of $43 - $46 per hour + 25% casual loading (plus superannuation).
