Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bowen, QLD, for a Working Site Supervisor in Civil Construction. The role involves overseeing daily construction projects, managing on-site operations, coordinating with team members and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards. The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations, and resolving any onsite challenges efficiently. Suitable for local applicants only - 5 and 2 roster, ideal family roster, get to spend the weekends doing what matters with who matters
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee the delivery of projects and jobs on your site profitably, safely, and efficiently working side by side with your team.
Ensure adequate human resources and assets are available for delivery of jobs and projects.
Coordinate the daily activities of each job with leading hands and staff. Be hands on and work alongside/back fill staff.
Advise management of any operational issues and develop appropriate solutions.
Provide regular updates to management regarding the performance of activities.
Adhere to corporate governance and ensure that operations conform to MJM Developments core values, relevant statutory requirements, and performance agreements with clients.
Client Coordination
Engage and build relationships with current clients and potential new clients.
Share relevant information with management to increase awareness of opportunities.
Assist in identifying & sourcing resources for current and future works.
Manage assets, including any asset damage, pre inspections, off-hire procedure, including mob/demob management.
Supervise, mentor, provide guidance to and performance manage direct reports.
Ensure effective job tracking, reporting, management practices are in place, including job costing and timely reporting on variations to works where required.
Other
Represent MJM Developments at relevant meetings.
Undertake other duties as required.
Essential Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in delivering civil construction projects.
Well-developed interpersonal and EXCEPTIONAL written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of clients and stakeholders.
Relevant trade qualification/s essential (Construction/Concreting etc).
Knowledge of the coal/mining industry and preferably the Bowen Basin region.
A high level of computer literacy/competence (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use job management data systems.
Advantageous
Previous BMA Supervisor experience with appropriate accreditation.
