Southern Engineering is seeking a CNC Brake Press Machine Operator to join our team at our Ballarat workshop.
Southern Engineering is a parts manufacturing company that supplies laser cut and folded parts to a broad range of manufacturing companies.
Reporting to the Production Co-Ordinator, the role will be responsible for:
* Operating our CNC Brake Press machine.
* Running our sheet metal CNC Laser Cutting machine when required.
* Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings.
* Sorting and checking off parts.
* Parts cleanup and Sanding.
* Loading and unloading of trucks.
* General maintenance of the machines.
* Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following qualities:
* Positive Can - Do Attitude.
* Punctuality and the ability to work under time constraints.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work on your own unsupervised.
* Self-Motivated.
To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following Pre-requisites:
* Current driver's license.
* Sheet metal experience is a Great advantage.
* Ability to read CAD drawings.
* Forklift license is an advantage.
* Physically fit and hardworking.
* The ability to use your own initiative.
* Able to work safely and efficiently.
