Followmont Transport is currently seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our night shift team in Cairns. As a valued member of the team you will play a key role in moving freight with a focus on safely loading and unloading B-Double Trailers & Tautliner Trucks, zoning and scanning tasks as well as reporting and customer service.
Best suited to a motivated individual that has proven experience in transport or forklift operation.
The Opportunity
Full time | Monday to Friday RosterNight shift | 12:00am Start with overtime at penalty rate availableEfficiently unload general freight from body trucks & trailers and ensure placed in the correct zone to ensure no misdirects.Strapping and securing freight trailers while sorting freight when required.
Qualifications
Strong commitment to Safety, compliance and following operating proceduresMust be value aligned, Followmont Transport operate as a Family Business committed to Service, Unity, Passio, Integrity, Innovation and CareMust hold a valid and current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift Previous experience in transport of freight or equipment with loading and unloading from body trucks and trailers (desirable)Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentAble to complete a Criminal History Check upon successful interview
