What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for an experienced Chef to work on a rotating basis at our production kitchen situated at Frankston Hospital and our cook chill kitchen at the Mornington Centre and Rosebud Hospital
The successful applicant will need to have a current Food Handlers Certificate/Trade Qualifications and be available to work a 7-day rotating rosters.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a high level of Food Service delivery whilst moving towards continual improvement.
• Chefs must be competent in the preparation and production of the meals for Patients, Staff, visitors and special functions as per the daily requirements.
• Chefs must be competent in the plating and distribution of meals for Patients, staff and visitors.
• Chefs must be competent in the preparation, set up and delivery of functions.
• Chef’s must be competent in Food safety procedures and assist with updating and maintaining the Food Safety plan
• Assist in reviewing and actioning the outcomes from Food safety Audits.
• Ensure all monitoring and data collection required to comply with Food Safety standards are kept.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Certificate 3 in commercial cookery
• Certificate II in Food Safety
• Flexible and creative when dealing with problems
• Able to function in a reliable and courteous manner
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Must be available on weekends
• Ability to work as an effective team member.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to function without supervision
