Clinical Labs is currently seeking an Area Manager to supervise and direct the day to day operations of our Victorian Regional Collection Centres, located across the Bendigo and Shepparton Regions.

We currently have a full-time fixed term vacancy (12 months) for an Area Manager to join our Victorian Collections Team. This role will be based in Bendigo with travel expected across the region on a regular basis.

Position Duties Include, although are not limited to:

· Roster and FTE management

· Monitor site performance and compliance.

· Work closely with Collections Management to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies

· Staff engagement, incl. Face to face site visits, staff meetings and communication.

· Drive recruitment, selection and employment of collection staff.

· Train and provide ongoing support for employees as the first point of reference for collection staff.

· Identify training needs and conduct ongoing competency assessment of Collection staff.

· Monitor and supervise work performance of all staff taking corrective action as required.

· Liaise closely with Business Development and Laboratory Managers regarding opportunities relevant to your area.

· Manage the operational set up of any new collection centres.

· The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and after hours when required.

· Maintain a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Experience working in Pathology Specimen Collections/or Nursing Equivalent.

· Proven change management and leadership skills.

· Previous management of a remote work force.

· Valid Driver's Licence with reliable transportation.

· Strong computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner.

· Ability to communicate effectively with referring Doctors, patients and other stakeholders.

· Ability to demonstrate sound organisational and problem solving skills.

· Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

· Ability to understand and ensure compliance with WH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe & healthy workplace.

This role will be challenging and will help you to grow your organisational and supervisory skills. Whilst the role requires you to work autonomously, you have the constant support and advice of the Area Managers network, and the Collections Leadership team.
