About This Role
Senior Business Analyst in the GT Digital Program Delivery team. You will collaborate closely with project managers and business stakeholders throughout the entire delivery lifecycle – interpreting project visions aligned to our strategic goals, defining clear business requirements, and contributing to the implementation of business and technology solutions. This role is pivotal in driving large‑scale transformation programs that will shape the future of our firm.
This role can be based out of Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, with flexible working options available to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with business stakeholders to understand issues, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance efficiency, client experience, and people experience
* Collaborate with the Digital team and key stakeholders to assess technology solution options, including cost / benefit and business impact
* Lead workshops, interviews, surveys, and other techniques to elicit and document business requirements, processes, and rules
* Drive analysis of business processes and systems, challenging current practices and identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency across the firm
* Translate requirements into clear functional / non‑functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Communicate business problems and solution options confidently to executive stakeholders, supporting strategic discussions and decision‑making while ensuring alignment to scope and quality
* Ensure delivery quality – contribute to user acceptance testing, training, and communications, and support production activities as needed
* Work with the project manager to plan, monitor, and report on business analysis activities and deliverables
* Mentor junior business analysts, providing guidance on methodologies and tools
* Collaborate with Digital and Support Services teams to continuously improve delivery processes, tools, and templates
Required Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification(s) in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant qualification(s)
* 3 or more years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst within a professional services environment
* Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
* Proven ability to conduct in-depth analysis of business needs
* Demonstrated deep expertise with business and data analysis methodologies, techniques, tools and templates, including process re‑engineering, optimisation and automation
* Demonstrated deep expertise and understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Scrum project methodologies
* Strong capability in modelling business processes using BPMN standards, with hands‑on experience in Microsoft Visio or comparable tools for creating clear and accurate workflow diagrams
* Experience or exposure to AI‑driven solutions, machine learning concepts, and / or participation in AI‑related initiatives
Desirable
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar platforms for backlog and sprint management
