HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS5 level Network Administrator on behalf of our client, located in SURRY HILLS NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to critical ICT infrastructure operations and improvements within a high-profile Federal Government agency.
About the Role:
As an APS5 level Network Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and improving ICT network services for agency staff and partners. You will handle moderately complex network tasks and provide technical support while liaising with various internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing technical assistance to staff and resolving network issues
* Managing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure and ICT network configurations
* Writing and maintaining accurate network technical documentation
* Supporting and executing change management initiatives
* Monitoring and proactively addressing network performance issues
* Assisting with network upgrades and expansions
* Collaborating with stakeholders to resolve network incidents
* Identifying and escalating network security misalignments

About You:
To be successful in this role, you'll bring a solid understanding of enterprise ICT networks along with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
Essential Skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure
* Demonstrated experience resolving network issues and supporting users
* Proficiency in writing and maintaining technical documentation
* Experience monitoring network performance and applying fixes
* Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Familiarity with change management practices
Desirable Qualifications:
* Fortinet NSE 4 (or higher) certification
* Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification
* Understanding and application of ITIL processes
