About the role:
Our Homewares Division is seeking an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer who is seeking to learn and/or improve their customer service skills and who wants to be part of a business that is out to set new standards in the textile and homewares industry.
The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing the vital link between our National sales team, freighting partners and the customer in the distribution of our quality range of Window coverings and Upholstery fabrics. This includes responsibility for the communication for both incoming and outgoing calls/emails and general enquiries, processing customer orders/enquiries efficiently to maximise sales and ensure the prompt processing and delivery of our products to our customers. Another key part of the role is managing the showroom from maintaining samples and displays all the way through to assisting clients with product selection.
Essential to success are:
* An ability to provide exceptional customer service both face to face and over the telephone.
* Pleasant and clear interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to keep calm and be able to communicate effectively especially during busy periods.
* Microsoft Office computer skills and an ability to provide fast, accurate data entry.
* Ability to maintain time commitments.
* An ability to multi-task & prioritise work, learn new ways while maintaining and delivering the required level of customer service.
* A genuine passion for Soft furnishing Textiles, Homewares and/or Interior design is beneficial.
* Being a team player, with an outgoing, positive and cheerful personality
* Previous showroom and/or Home Textile/Homewares experience is desirable but not essential.
