The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team within the newly created Acute Surgical Unit (ASU). Located on the second floor of the Lyell McEwin Hospital, the ASU is closely located to the Operating Theatre Complex and will provide care for surgical patients presenting via a non-elective route. The role of the ASU is to provide a 24-hour 7 day a week assessment and management service for all emergency general surgery patients referred to the ASU. The ASU will also be responsible for acute assessment of surgical patients requiring a direct admission from any other health service including Modbury Hospital. The ASU comprises of: 21 inpatient beds a quick access clinic, with the ability to see up to 8 patients per day a see and treat consultation room consisting of 2 chair spaces As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical assessment and/or procedures. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, collaborating to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
