Learning Support Assistant (Inclusion Unit) – Secondary School

We're looking for a committed and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic secondary school, working within our Inclusion Unit to support students who need a more personalised approach to learning.
This isn't your typical classroom role. You will be at the heart of our pastoral and behavioural support provision, building strong relationships, breaking down barriers, and helping students re‐engage with education.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Delivering targeted interventions in small groups and one‐to‐one
* Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Helping students transition successfully back into mainstream lessons
What we're looking for:
* Calm, confident, and consistent approach
* Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people
* Experience working with challenging behaviour (school‐based or similar settings)
* Resilience, patience, and a good sense of humour
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the possibility of permanent status at a later date.
All candidates must have or undertake a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Free child protection and prevent duty training will be provided.
