This role involves manning the retail space, engaging customers, handling sales, and supporting the administrative and marketing functions of our creative hub. The ideal candidate will be personable, organised, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.
Hours: 8-10 hours a week over 1 or 2 shifts onsite, starting November 2025.
Ability to work some additional ad-hoc hours (by negotiation) in Feb-April 2026, due to maternity leave, including the full day on Fridays from pm each week will be required during this period. Part-time position under Amusement, Events and Recreation Award 2020.

Key Responsibilities:
Administration & Business Support
Basic data entry and record keeping (sales, attendance, feedback, invoices). Assisting with bookings for term and weekend classes, setting up rooms/materials. Assisting with co-coordinating gallery exhibitions, sending paperwork and preparing marketing materials
Retail & Customer Service
Greet visitors and provide information about exhibitions, shop products, workshops, and studios. Operate point-of-sale system, process sales, handle cash and EFTPOS transactions including opening and closing procedures. Maintain the appearance of the gift shop and gallery—restocking, tidying, and merchandising displays. Assist with inventory management, reordering/stocktaking and receiving deliveries. Answering customer inquiries (in person, phone, email, social media). Process online orders, packaging, and postage.
Marketing & Communications
Assist with in-house social media: drafting posts, capturing photos/videos of events/products. Update website and online listings for events.
General Duties
Other duties as directed to support the hub's day-to-day running.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an organised, reliable, and proactive person. Comfortable with handling money, POS systems, and basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets, social media). Experience with Vend/Lightspeed Retail X a bonus. Interest in creative arts, handmade products, and community events.
