Join UNSW to lead the strategy and delivery of UNSW's web presence. You'll shape how the world experiences UNSW online, driving accessible, audience-centred digital experiences through strong UX, design leadership and data-driven decisions.
Position Details
Employment Type: Full Time (35 hours per week)
Duration: 9-month contract, with scope to evolve and extend
Remuneration: Level 9 from $148,012 – $157,056 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters
As part of the Marketing & Digital Experience portfolio, you will help expand UNSW's global reputation and support the Progress for All strategic plan through world-class marketing, content and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing Web and UX/UI team to deliver intuitive, engaging experiences across UNSW's digital ecosystem.
Oversee UNSW's major web properties, ensuring they are consistent, on-brand and user-focused.
Implement UNSW's **** Web and UX/UI Roadmap, using Adobe Experience Cloud to create connected, personalised user journeys.
Lead UX research and design initiatives to resolve customer pain points and deliver measurable improvements.
Manage digital enhancement projects end-to-end using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Partner across teams and agencies to deliver seamless, accessible and scalable digital solutions.
Use analytics, data and feedback to inform design and prioritisation decisions.
Oversee conversion rate optimisation and continuous improvement programmes.
Foster capability growth and a community of practice in UX/UI across UNSW.
About You
You're a seasoned digital product and UX leader who thrives in complex environments and inspires teams to deliver exceptional experiences.
You'll Bring
Relevant tertiary qualifications and deep experience managing digital products or websites in large organisations.
Around 15 years of experience in product design or digital management, with at least 7 years leading teams.
Expertise in website UX design and research, proficiency in Figma, web design systems and accessibility best practice.
Strong experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics.
Proven success delivering projects in Agile and Waterfall settings.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.
Commercial acumen with exposure to digital marketing, e-commerce or student recruitment.
