The Opportunity
This is your chance to play a leading role in shaping the future of the Noosa community. Working in partnership with Councillors, community groups, not-for-profits and all levels of government, you'll design and deliver innovative community development initiatives that build capacity, foster inclusion and strengthen local connections. You'll also provide expert advice to Council on social policy and community development issues, ensuring our strategies are effective, responsive and grounded in the real needs of the people we serve.
About You
You're a passionate community development professional with:
* Experience working with community groups and organisations to deliver meaningful outcomes
* Strong skills in community planning, development and project management
* Knowledge of government policy, funding programs and grants
* Proven ability to identify community needs and secure funding to strengthen outcomes
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution and partnership building
* The ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines
* An understanding of Queensland Disaster Management arrangements and the role of Council in building resilience and supporting recovery
Qualifications required:
* Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences, Sport & Recreation, Business Management, Social Work, Human Services or a related field, or substantial proven experience delivering community outcomes
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* Driver's Licence - "C" class
(Flexibility to work outside normal hours will sometimes be required)
