Electrical Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing site in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a 12-month contract position.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining and driving the optimal maintenance plan to maximise plant efficiency and asset utilisation with their team of professionals in maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation technology, with experience in a heavy industry/continuous manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure plant, equipment repairs, modifications and monitoring occur within health and safety guidelines;
* Investigate, analyse and determine root causes of electrical plant failures;
* Coordinate and communicate with Planners, Maintenance Technicians, Engineers and Operations to complete and resolve both planned and unplanned maintenance activities;
* Participate in pre-shut-down work scoping and shut-down facilitation execution;
* Provide direction and control of breakdown work to ensure maximum output;
* Conduct maintenance tasks within a rigid planning and clearance to work system.
Requirements:
* Queensland Electrical License and Instrument Trade Qualification is required;
* Maintenance experience in a heavy industry/continuous manufacturing environment;
* Communication and coordination skills to work with engineering and operational teams;
* High risk work license for forklift and elevated work platform are nice to have;
* Experience in high voltage switching and safety instrumented systems would be highly advantageous;
* Sound knowledge of SAP maintenance management system administration skills;
* Knowledge of maintenance methods e.g. preventative, predictive, condition monitoring.
