Container forklift driver

Allied Moving Services is a leading global provider of removals and relocation solutions, operating in over 40 countries with ~5,000 employees and conducting more than 365,000 relocations per year.

We are seeking a Container Forklift Operator based at the Welshpool depot, Perth. This role will commence as a casual position with the opportunity to convert to full‐time after 3 months, contingent upon successful achievement of learning goals and assessment of suitability.

The position may require occasional weekend work.

• Operate heavy forklifts to move 16‐tonne containers safely and efficiently within the depot.
• Action daily in‐ and out‐turns of containers for the warehouse in preparation for on‐road delivery.
• Accurately locate containers in the yard and maintain inventory of household belongings.
• Prepare the next day's jobs according to the scheduled run sheet, ensuring containers and required documentation are ready.
• Maintain high standards of safety when handling and stacking containers, following the site traffic management plan.
• Accurately receive inbound goods from suppliers and operations crews.

• Valid forklift licence and minimum qualification to operate 20–40‐tonne container forklift with spreader, with demonstrated experience.
• Experience in household goods warehousing or a similar environment is desirable.
• Team player who supports an efficient and safe workplace.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Highly enthusiastic and motivating individual.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
