About the Role:
As an IT Support Officer, you will report directly to the IT Manager and play a key role in maintaining the performance, reliability, and security of our ICT environment while delivering high-quality support to end users. Your responsibilities will include:
* End-User Support & Service Delivery: Act as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, resolving user issues across multiple channels including phone, email, and face-to-face. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding tasks such as account creation/removal, license allocation/removal, inductions, and access provisioning.
* Infrastructure & Systems Administration: Set up, configure, and support a range of hardware, software, servers, networks, and peripheral devices. Monitor performance across systems, identify and resolve issues, and ensure services remain stable and accessible.
* Systems Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:Create and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation covering system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Enhance and contribute to internal knowledge bases and user resources, while supporting compliance and reporting requirements.
* Cybersecurity & Data Resilience: Support the implementation of security measures to protect systems and information from threats. Carry out routine backups and assist in disaster recovery planning and execution to maintain operational continuity.
* Supplier & Project Collaboration: Assist in delivering ICT initiatives, including system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and organisation-wide projects. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to acquire technology solutions and services.
* After-Hours Support Rotation: Take part in a scheduled on-call roster to provide support outside standard business hours, ensuring critical systems and services remain operational when needed.
This role has the opportunity to be Full Time or Part Time 0.8 FTE depending on the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
About you:
You're an adaptable IT Officer who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and moves seamlessly between strategy and hands-on technical support. The ideal candidate will have:
* Tertiary degree in IT, Business or related disciplines (Preferred but not essential).
* 2+ years' experience in an IT Administrator role or similar
* Strong knowledge of network administration, trouble-shooting, cloud technologies, and information security.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
