The role of Family Preservation Lead is to oversee the delivery of exceptional services to families, ensuring that the risk of children entering out-of-home care is minimized. This involves leading a team of 6-7 direct reports and collaborating with other team leaders across the program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the team to ensure that services are provided to clients in a way that maximizes client outcomes and meets organizational objectives.
* Support team members to understand the vision, values, and direction of the organization and translate them into everyday practice.
* Collaborate with the Manager to ensure that the team's work is commercially effective and sustainable, identifying opportunities for process improvement or more effective ways of working.
* Evaluate the quality of service delivery, client plans, and client outcomes against service and funding objectives on a regular basis.
* Identify gaps in delivery and work with the team to build capability and/or improve service design, referring to the Manager when significant gaps are identified.
* Coordinate regular communication channels, including team meetings, client reviews, and one-on-one discussions with team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
For this role, you will need:
* A degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Allied Health, or a related discipline.
* Program leadership experience in the Community Services sector.
* People leadership skills, with experience building and maintaining an engaged, high-performing team.
* Practice leadership skills, with a passion for continuous improvement and implementing industry best practice into service delivery.
* Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities.
* Strong skills and experience in assessing, identifying, and addressing child protection concerns.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
