Logistics Operations Manager Role
In this key position, you will oversee the optimization of freight and transportation operations across the business.
* Collaborate closely with field teams to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with operational requirements.
* Prioritize logistics enhancements through engagement with stakeholders and practical implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end material transportation safely, competitively, and efficiently in line with legislative and company HSSE standards.
* Analyze road freight demand from various sources and optimize heavy vehicle usage.
* Review and analyze monthly transport invoices and track transport budget spend.
* Identify process improvement opportunities, implement CI initiatives, and automate processes and workflows.
* Provide technical data advisory support for road transport and optimize integrated planning.
* Timely identify business requirements for transport needs and lead improvement initiatives.
* Ensure transport activities are aligned with operational needs.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Familiarity with Freight Forwarding, Customs, and Road Transport regulations.
* Proven experience optimizing logistics coordination and scheduling activities.
* Skillful stakeholder management, internal and external.
* Commercial acumen for performance management, including utilization.
* Safety leadership expertise.
* Understanding of regulations applicable to end-to-end material movements.
* Able to learn supply chain, planning, and scheduling software.
