Peregian Beach College is a non-religious, co-educational, independent school that caters for students from the Preparatory Years to Year 12. About the Role:
The Student Administration Officer provides frontline support to students, families, and staff, working within limited supervision, whilst ensuring the efficient and effective operation of administrative and student focused administrative functions within the College.
Key Selection Criteria:
The successful applicant will have:
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
* Experience using Sentral or FACTS, or a similar Student Management System, highly regarded
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Capacity to manage multiple tasks
* Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
* Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications:
* Current Blue Card (Paid)
* Provide First Aid and CPR certified or willingness to attain
* Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience
* Experience in a school or similar environment, preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Reception
* Provide student reception support to students, parents, and visitors, and support staff in various aspects of the College
* Provide students with first aid assistance when needed (in accordance with training and qualifications) and keep adequate records
* Update and maintain students records and databases
* Assist with distribution of student notices, passes, and communications
Student Attendance
* Manage student attendance records daily and report accordingly
* Follow up on unexplained absences and late arrivals in accordance with College policy
Other
* Work within the Administration Team to ensure the smooth daily running of the College
* Work directly with the Head of College and Guidance to ensure relevant information regarding families under Court Orders is distributed to relevant parties and maintained in confidence
* Any further reasonable requests that are necessary to fulfil your duties or as otherwise required by the employer
