Bug-A-Lugs is excited to welcome an enthusiastic Assistant Kindergarten Educator and Trainee to our team. This year, we launched our beautiful 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten program, and we are now seeking a Diploma Qualified Assistant Educator to support its continued growth and success.
For over 13 years, Bug-A-Lugs has been a trusted provider of high-quality care for children aged 3–12 years across the Macedon Ranges. With two centres, both rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard, we are known for our passion, innovation, inclusivity, and strong community values.

The Role
* Hours: 20 - 30 hours which can increase
* Optional additional hours available in our before/after school care and school holiday program
* Support our Early Childhood Teacher with meaningful, play-based learning
* Build strong, consistent relationships with children and families
* Contribute to a calm, nurturing, beautifully designed learning environment
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Compliance
* Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or actively working towards)
* Current Police Check (under 6 months)
* Mandatory Reporting Certificate (within the last 12 months)
* Working with Children Check
* First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain)
Skills & Qualities
* A genuine passion for early years learning and children's wellbeing
* Warm, reliable and community-focused educator
* Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure and problem-solve confidently
* High energy with the ability to engage positively with children
* Confident, friendly and approachable with strong teamwork skills
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure safety and wellbeing
* Current driver's licence
Optional OSHC Hours
If you'd like more work, you can also pick up extra hours in our before/after school program or during school holidays supporting children aged 3–12.
