The Team
Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Food Services is a fast‐paced supportive team responsible for delivering high quality meals to over 300 patients daily, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, operating 365 days a year. This role involves shift work with early morning starts and includes a combination of weekday and weekend shifts, ensuring essential services are maintained at all times.
The Role
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures and guidelines, provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
Responsibilities
* In accordance with the relevant codes of practice, assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware‐washing and cleaning of the hospital service areas.
* Actively participate and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people and related training.
* Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
Details of appointment
Permanent, part‐time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
