Overview
Lead arts, culture, libraries and community hub services. Executive role with strategic, operational and budget accountability. Drive creativity, connection and place-based cultural outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic, operational and people leadership across a diverse and high-impact portfolio of arts, culture, libraries, festivals, events and community and cultural hubs.
* Ensure services and assets respond to community needs and align with Council's Corporate Strategy and its long-term vision, MV2040.
* Lead a multidisciplinary department, drive innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement while overseeing service delivery, capital works programs, budgets and compliance.
* Strengthen social connection, support lifelong learning, and activate vibrant cultural places where communities can thrive.
* Collaborate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic planning and decision making.
Qualifications and experience
* Executive leadership experience in local government or a comparable sector.
* Strategic thinking, financial acumen and a people-centred approach to creating meaningful cultural outcomes.
* Experience in arts, culture, libraries, festivals, events and community hubs is desirable.
