About the opportunity
Southern Cross University's Faculty of Health is recruiting multiple academic positions for their recently accredited Physiotherapy program, based in either the stunning coastal lifestyle destination of the Gold Coast or the relaxed, nature-rich Coffs Harbour region.
We are seeking innovative and progressive academics to contribute to impactful teaching and research for this exciting new undergraduate course.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Deliver high-quality teaching, educational and curriculum design.
* Contribute to the Faculty's research profile through publications in high-quality journals and successful applications for grant funding, independently or as a member of a team.
* Developing and maintaining partnerships with health providers, educational institutions, and within the wider community.
* Senior Lecturers will also be expected to provide a meaningful level of leadership in scholarship and/or professional activities relevant to the profession, along with significantly contributing to the Physiotherapy programs.
* Opportunity for the right candidate to lead the Physiotherapy Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activities within the WIL Academic Coordinator role.
About you
We are seeking academics with a relevant qualification to the level of appointment, and a minimum of four years academic and/or professional experience. You will have current unrestricted registration, or be eligible for unrestricted registration as a physiotherapist with AHPRA. You will bring:
* Academic Level A must hold at least a Master's degree or equivalent in an area related to physiotherapy or human health – interest undertaking a PhD will be highly regarded. Academic Level B or C must hold a PhD or progress towards completion of a PhD in an area related to physiotherapy or human health.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively in teaching and research.
* Strong communication skills and a passion for shaping the next generation of physiotherapists.
* A proven track record in publishing high-quality research and preparing effective reports appropriate to Academic level.
* Experience supervising Honours and HDR students appropriate to Academic level.
Candidates must demonstrate the required levels of teaching, research, and service as outlined in the position description for each academic level.
Salary and benefits
Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer's leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. These positions are:
* Full-time, continuing (permanent), with part-time/job-share opportunities considered for the ideal candidate.
* Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, or Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support is available.
* The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills and experience:
1. Academic Level A (Associate Lecturer) ranges from $78,287 - $105,224 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $123,112.
2. Academic Level B (Lecturer) ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
3. Academic Level C (Senior Lecturer) ranges from $134,848 - $155,046 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $181,403.
