Add expected salary to your profile for insightsMaritime Constructions is a marine contractor uniquely capable of self-performing the full spectrum of specialised engineering disciplines to deliver complex marine infrastructure projects from design and construction through to commissioning.
Projects include jetties, wharves, bulk loading facilities, dredging, reclamation, navigation aids, marinas, and underwater pipelines in Australia and internationally.We are seeking a suitably experienced person to supervise and lead a marine construction crew specialising in wharf and jetty construction and refurbishments.
The person we are seeking will ideally have a solid background in the construction industry.What we are OfferingA competitive hourly rate, applicable penalties & away benefitsA supportive environment with excellent training opportunitiesVariety across a diverse range of projects and environmentsA great close-knit team who thrive on the challenging nature of our industryAbout the RoleReporting to the Project Manager/Construction Manager, this role will require you to be primarily site based leading a team of up to 6 people at any one time.It includes the following responsibilities:Plan, implement and supervise all daily operations on site with a "hands on" approachStrong focus on protected work culture and processesManage and develop crews including rostering and on-site trainingPrioritise tasks and allocate resources accordinglyWork to project timelines and targetsManage subcontractorsComplete relevant site documentation and reportsConduct site workgroup meetings including SWMS, pre-start and toolboxMaintain the integrity of siteProvision of site inductions for employees, contractors and visitorsManage and maintain allocated site vessels, plant and equipmentManage and control site expenditureEnsure that all risks and activities are managed in accordance with quality, WHS and environmental obligationsAbout youWe are looking for someone who takes leadership seriously but knows how to have fun.
