AWCON is seeking an experienced and driven Asset Manager to lead our Assets and Maintenance function during an exciting period of national growth. This senior role is key to ensuring the reliability, performance, and lifecycle efficiency of AWCON's mobile and minor asset fleet across Australia's mining and heavy industry projects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide leadership, structure, and technical expertise across the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition through to maintenance, utilisation, and disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage, develop, and implement process that drives asset health initiatives.
* Develop budgets and financial strategies which ensure asset portfolio ROI.
* Manage a fleet of 400 assets.
* Manage maintenance foreman and planners from multiple sites.
* Manage businesses asset register and supplementary systems asset data.
* Ensure safety and compliance at all times.
ABOUT YOU
* Previous experience in asset or maintenance management within civil construction or mining.
* Background as an underground maintenance foreman (highly regarded).
* Strong understanding of statutory compliance and asset performance management.
* Financial literacy and budget management capability.
* Experience managing mixed fleets, including late model trucks and equipment (average age ~5 years).
