About the Role
Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced Workforce Planning & Capability Consultant for our Federal Government Client, The successful candidate will support the organisation's People team in ensuring the workforce is fit‐for‐purpose, compliant, and aligned to current and future strategic requirements.
This role will suit a senior consultant or specialist with deep expertise in workforce planning, capability frameworks, APS workforce methodologies, and organisational design.
Key Responsibilities
* A comprehensive analysis of current workforce capability, strengths, gaps, and critical roles
* Development of actionable, prioritised plans to address capability shortages, risks, and succession needs
* Alignment to APS frameworks, regulatory requirements, and mandatory qualification standards
* Design of job family architecture to support career pathways, mobility, and talent development
* Optimisation of attraction and recruitment strategies
* Development of practical workforce planning tools, frameworks and monitoring systems
What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated experience in workforce capability, planning, or organisational design
* Strong understanding of APS frameworks, capability standards, and regulatory environments
* Proven ability to lead complex workforce initiatives with senior stakeholders
* Experience delivering workforce tools, analytics, methodologies and monitoring systems
* Strong governance, planning, reporting and communication skills
* Baseline security clearance essential
