Pharmacist in Cancer Services
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated pharmacist to join our team in Cancer Services. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing specialized pharmacist support for the management of clinical trials involving cancer therapies and advanced therapeutic products.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, working closely with clinical trial investigators, research coordinators, medical and nursing staff, and the pharmacy team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of investigational medicines, chemotherapeutic, and supportive agents.
In this role, you will also be responsible for supporting protocol adherence, medication preparation, and dispensing, as well as integrating novel therapies into patient care. Your contribution will be pivotal to delivering high-quality pharmacy services that enhance treatment options and outcomes for patients with cancer.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialized pharmacist support for clinical trials involving cancer therapies and advanced therapeutic products.
* Collaborate with clinical trial investigators, research coordinators, medical and nursing staff, and the pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling of investigational medicines.
* Support protocol adherence, medication preparation, and dispensing, as well as integrating novel therapies into patient care.
* Contribute to delivering high-quality pharmacy services that enhance treatment options and outcomes for patients with cancer.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Essential Qualifications:
* Current pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions on practice.
* Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the award and are expected to be able to demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the award.
* Demonstrated understanding of the requirements and regulations surrounding clinical trials and SAS.
