Lead the Future of Livestock Technology Our client is a globally recognised leader in livestock identification, traceability, and practical on-farm management solutions. As Australian livestock producers continue to embrace innovation and data-driven decision-making, they are expanding their footprint and seeking an outstanding Business Development Manager to drive growth across Victoria and Tasmania. You will become the face of the business across the region, working directly with sheep, cattle and goat producers, rural merchandise businesses, and key industry stakeholders. If you have a strong livestock background, enjoy meeting people, and thrive on creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to happen, this could be the career move you've been looking for. Role You will take ownership of the Victorian and Tasmanian territory, building and strengthening relationships with livestock producers, rural resellers, and industry influencers. Your focus will be to identify new business opportunities, support existing customers, and drive sales growth through practical, value-adding engagement. You'll spend much of your time on-farm, demonstrating industry-leading electronic identification and livestock management solutions, providing technical advice, supporting reseller networks, and representing the business at field days and livestock events. Working remotely from your home base, you'll enjoy significant autonomy while being backed by a highly experienced national team. Requirements Genuine hands-on experience in the livestock industry, ideally with sheep, cattle or goats. You may be a former station manager, livestock agent, rural merchandise salesperson, agronomist or agricultural sales professional. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and build trusted relationships. Practical understanding of livestock handling, identification systems and on-farm technology. Formal qualifications are less important than practical experience, credibility, and enthusiasm for the industry. Remuneration & Location An attractive salary package is on offer, including a fully maintained company vehicle, phone, laptop, and performance incentives. The role can be based anywhere within Victoria or Tasmania, with flexibility to work remotely while managing your own territory.
