Pheonix House Association Incorporated (Phoenix House) seeks the services of an experienced Chief Executive Officer on afull-time basis to join our team in Bundaberg. The CEO reports to the Management Committee.
Phoenix House provides supportive, safe and trusted counselling services across the Bundaberg Region including Gin Gin and Childers. We provide evidence-based, trauma-informed psychological support to people of all ages. Including specialist services to children and anyone who has experienced sexual violence.
We are a non-government, registered charity organisation, with many of our services funded through Federal and State Government grants. We strive to provide a ‘No Wrong Door’ approach to meeting the mental health, therapeutic, and wellbeing support needs of our local and regional communities.
Role Responsibilities:
Have oversight over all financial matters, enabling financial sustainability and delivery of strategic outcomes.
Responsible for day-to-day operational aspects of the organisation
Ensure organisational effectiveness, staff wellbeing, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with all legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations
Provide strong, values-based leadership that reflects a trauma-informed and client-centered ethos.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Proven executive leadership experience in a community, health, or human services organisation.
Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practice, child protection, domestic, family and sexual violence, and mental health.
Strong financial acumen and experience in managing organisational budgets and funding arrangements.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Proven experience working with Management Committees/ Boards and understanding of corporate and community compliance and governance.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence in a diverse stakeholder environment.
Postgraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, or a related field.
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Lived experience or deep understanding of regional community issues, particularly impacting vulnerable populations.
