We're looking for an experienced and motivated Head Motor Mechanic to join our team. If you're passionate about quality workmanship, team leadership, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, this is your chance to take the wheel at one of Australia's most trusted automotive brands.
As the Head Motor Mechanic, you'll take ownership of workshop operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
* Performing mechanical repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles
* Identifying faults and addressing tyre wear, stability, and performance issues
* Carrying out all tyre, wheel, and suspension-related services as required
* Providing expert advice to customers and identifying potential safety concerns
* Operating hoists and performing road tests safely and efficiently
* Manage workflow through the workshop
* Leading, mentoring, and training workshop staff to build technical capability and teamwork
* Ensuring all work meets JAX's high standards for safety and quality
What We're Looking For
* Relevant trade qualifications and licenses
* Have own tools
* Proven experience in mentoring, training, or leading a workshop team
* Strong technical knowledge across automotive and/or tyre services
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
* Physically fit and capable of managing daily workshop demands
* Sound understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) practices
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Available to work on Saturday
