Overview
Our client is an Australian engineering and manufacturing business delivering specialised products and solutions across defence, industrial and technical sectors. The business operates in a hands-on, quality-driven environment where strong coordination between operations, production and logistics is essential.
The Role
This role sits at the centre of warehouse and logistics operations, supporting multiple departments across the business. You'll be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing goods, inventory, freight coordination and quality checks. Tasks vary day to day, so strong time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands is critical. You'll work autonomously, take ownership of the warehouse environment, and proactively identify and raise conflicting priorities across departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Performing QA inspections in line with internal processes
* Completing goods receipt and stock movements in SAP ERP
* Picking, packing, labelling and dispatching goods
* Arranging domestic and international freight
* Coordinating shipping paperwork for overseas consignments
* Maintaining dispatch and receivals areas
* General warehouse and workshop housekeeping
* Monitoring inventory levels and stock movements
* Conducting continual cycle counts
* Supporting inventory audits
* Coordinating warehouse stock placement
* Manual Driver's Licence (preferred)
* Physically fit with strong manual handling awareness
* Confident using handheld power tools for packing and crating
* Clean criminal history
* Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence security clearance
* Strong time management skills and ability to work autonomously
* Experience in a warehouse, logistics or inventory coordination role
* Exposure to QA inspections and quality documentation
* Understanding of supply chain and freight processes
* Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
* High attention to detail
* Computer literacy, including MS Office and ERP systems
Essential Skills & Experience
* High Risk Forklift Licence
* Manual Driver's Licence (preferred)
* Physically fit with strong manual handling awareness
* Confident using handheld power tools for packing and crating
* Clean criminal history
* Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence security clearance
* Strong time management skills and ability to work autonomously
Desirable
