Commercial/Intellectual Property Lawyer (4 yrs-Senior Associate)
In this unique hybrid role, reporting to both a top calibre commercial law partner and a senior associate, you will have autonomy, challenge, and variety servicing many high‐quality clients (predominantly businesses).
Specifically, you will be practising in:
* Corporate/Commercial transactions – buying/selling businesses (including property management businesses' rent rolls), mergers & acquisitions, shareholders agreements, directors duties, corporate restructures, due diligence, joint ventures, licensing/distribution, retail/commercial leases, business succession planning (eg buy‐back agreements) and general commercial contracts.
* Franchises – advising on sale, purchase, restructuring, importing, exporting of franchises, Franchising Code of Conduct compliance, Competition and Consumer Act compliance matters.
* Intellectual Property – mainly relating to trade marks.

Compensation
* $90,000–$150,000 plus bonus.
Who you are
* Admitted lawyer with a minimum of 4 years post‐qualification experience.
* Broad‐range commercial (transactions/advisory) law experience – including sale/purchase of businesses, commercial leases and preferably some trade mark and/or franchising law experience (not essential) – with strong technical, research and drafting skills.
