Batterline Earthmoving Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated company established in 2000. Operating across Central West and Northern NSW, Batterline Earthmoving provides personalised services to the private, commercial and government sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
* Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
* Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection
* Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance
* Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and rectify mechanical faults
* Ensure vehicles meet safety and pollution control regulations
* Advise customers on vehicle condition, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and Abilities
* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised diagnostic equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills with customers and colleagues
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent (preferred)
OR
* Minimum of three years' relevant work experience as a motor mechanic
* Current driver's licence (preferred)
