Job Description
The Role: A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate Lawyer to join our team where we provide high-quality legal advice and services across a broad range of legal issues in a coordinated and cost-effective manner.
You will:
* Provide high quality and timely legal advice and support to executive, administrative, research, and clinical areas.
* Draft, review, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements.
* Enable informed decision making on law issues by drafting submissions, executive briefs, ministerial briefs, letters to Ministers and circular resolutions, where appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Tertiary qualifications in Law and eligibility for admission as a solicitor or barrister in Queensland or High Court of Australia or agreed equivalent are mandatory for this position.
* A Practicing Certificate, or eligibility to hold a Practicing Certificate, from the relevant state or territory is required.
* Minimum of 2 years post-admission legal practice experience or agreed equivalent is necessary.
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees.
