Job Title: Market Risk Specialist

* Assist the Market Risk Team with implementing and managing risk frameworks and strategies to identify, analyze, and report on market risks.
* Deliver exceptional service to customers by meeting their expectations and enhancing the team's reputation.
* Work in partnership with various departments to provide policy interpretation on regional and local market risk policies and frameworks.
* Collaborate with colleagues to collect information in a timely manner to support assessing Oceania's market risk performance against company policies and guidelines.
* Support coordinating committees and meetings, as well as prepare regular reports on Oceania's performance on activities such as credit limits, loan due date checks, borrow ratings reviews, and audits to company policies and guidelines.
* Adhere to all company policies and guidelines, including maintaining and updating credit limits of front and back office systems.
* Produce risk exposure and profit and loss reports for Treasury, Head Office, and regulatory purposes, as well as credit and market risk usage and detect exceptions.
* Maintain all middle office systems and assist in testing new risk management systems.
* Document and update risk management systems on a regular basis, and carry out special projects as assigned.
* This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills working in an analytical role, looking to start a career in banking, particularly within risk.
* Good communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a client-centric approach.
* Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and capacity to work autonomously and proactively are also required.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills are also essential.
* A tertiary qualification in banking, commerce, finance, or accounting would be beneficial.
