We are seeking a driven and motivated Business Development Executive to elevate our Conferencing, Events & Groups portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven individual to join a globally recognized company.
To succeed in this role, you will possess a solid background in hospitality business development, driving revenue through strategic planning and implementation.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong business partnerships, maximizing sales opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute daily sales strategies, working collaboratively with hotel colleagues to achieve revenue goals.
* Partner with the Hotel Director of Sales and cluster Marketing and Sales Team to drive revenue growth and maximize opportunities.
* Cultivate a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration among departments.
* Work closely with event planners to ensure seamless execution and high-quality service delivery.
* Maintain strong relationships with key clients and external contacts to increase revenue and loyalty.
* Achieve personal and team sales targets, while optimizing profitability.
* Assist in preparing budgets and financial plans, including marketing initiatives.
* Implement sales strategies that drive incremental occupancy, rate increases, and revenue growth.
* Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze market trends and optimize performance.
* Create and promote special events and sales campaigns to showcase the hotel's offerings.
* Build and maintain a list of prospect clients, developing relationships and securing new business opportunities.
Guest Experience
* Provide guests with relevant information to enhance their experience, such as loyalty programs, local attractions, and restaurant recommendations.
* Coordinate scheduling of conferences and group accommodations, ensuring seamless delivery of services and events.
* Communicate guest needs and preferences to relevant departments, ensuring timely and personalized service delivery.
* Contribute to marketing efforts to upsell guests on hotel services and amenities.
Responsible Business
* Promote the hotel's sustainability initiatives and 'green' features to attract environmentally conscious clients.
* Collaborate with advertising agencies, consulting firms, and vendors to optimize advertising investments and brand identity.
* Raise awareness and reputation of the hotel and IHG brand locally, representing the hotel in media-related enquiries.
* Identify areas for improvement in marketing activities and sales performance, working with other departments to implement change.
Accountability
This role offers considerable autonomy, reporting directly to the Director of Sales. You will work closely with the broader Hotel and Owners Group - Sales and Marketing Team, and collaborate with other departments to ensure a harmonious and productive work environment.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in business development or a related field.
* Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel business development sales and marketing setting.
* Strong knowledge of local businesses and market trends.
* Sound IT skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
