About the role
MacKillop Catholic College is seeking an experienced and passionate Health and Physical Education Teacher, commencing Term 3 2026, to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is based in Palmerston, NT 0830, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and wellbeing of our students.
What you'll be doing
* Designing and delivering engaging and effective Health and Physical Education lessons for secondary students
* Implementing the school's curriculum and lesson plans to support student learning and development
* Assessing and providing feedback to students to monitor their progress and identify areas for improvement
* Organising and supervising extracurricular sports and activities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle
* Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices and contribute to the school's educational goals
* Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and wellbeing
What we're looking for
* Qualified teacher with a degree in Health and Physical Education or a related field
* Experience teaching Health and Physical Education in a secondary school setting
* Strong knowledge of the ACARA and SACE Curriculum and ability to design and deliver engaging lessons
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
* Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and a healthy, active lifestyle
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the overall success of the school
